When do I receive a student account?
1. You will receive a Student ID ‘G’ Number and Username when your application to the College is accepted.
2. Your student account gives you access to the Secure Online System (SOS) portal using any computer or mobile web browser. SOS allows you to register for classes, make payments, and access your records.
Note: To have access to SOS, you will need to claim your account if you have not already done so. Click Claiming Your Account to learn how to complete the process, which includes creating your account password and security questions.
Student G Number, Username, and Password
What is a Student ID/G Number?
1. A Student ID 'G' Number (i.e. G00xxxxxx) is the identification number assigned to you by San Jacinto College when your application to the College is accepted. This number is used in lieu of a Social Security Number to protect your identity while enrolled at the College.
What is my Username?
1. You are issued a Username which will allow you access to the College’s computer systems and other services.
The following change is effective from September 26, 2022:
Your Username is your College Email Address: Your last name dot first initial the last six numbers of your G# followed by @stu.sanjac.edu
(LastName).(FirstInitial)(LastSixG#)@stu.sanjac.edu
For example, if your name is John Doe and your G# is G00430697, your username will be: Doe.J430697@stu.sanjac.edu
What is my password?
1. Your SOS password is the password you created when you first claimed and set up your account. If you have changed it since then, please use your most recent password.
Note: Your password is also used to access other systems after you have registered and paid for classes (e.g., Blackboard, Microsoft O365, OneDrive, Campus Wi-Fi).
What is Campus Access and when do I receive it?
1. Campus Access is secure and licensed access to the College’s campus computers, learning software (e.g., Blackboard), productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft O365), and secure wireless systems for you to use to successfully complete your classes both on-campus and remotely. You receive campus access when you have registered and paid for classes.
2. Campus Access is disabled when you have completed your registered and paid classes. We do this to help secure the College while you are no longer actively taking classes and to comply with software licenses provided for student use only.
Note: Your Campus Access is enabled again after you have registered and paid for classes.
Below is the login information for each system you can use with your Campus Access.
