Service Overview

Students and Employees can request to have their San Jacinto College email address updated. You can also use this service request if your name is incorrect in SOS & My SanJac Portal.

Getting Started

Important ITS Tech Support cannot update your legal/preferred name, date of birth, mailing or home postal address. 

Before we can process a change on the email account/user name you must have the information updated by the appropriate non-ITS department.

Students please contact Admissions to have your legal/preferred name, mailing or home postal address officially updated. 

Employees please contact human.resource@sjcd.edu to have your legal/preferred name, mailing or home postal address officially updated. 

Verify that your name has been changed by Admissions or Human Resources by logging into SOS. Navigate to All Users, click on Personal Information and ensure the requested changes are displayed before proceeding. 

Email address changes

Click on the Service Request button on this page. Request should include your G number, old/incorrect information, and the updated information. Please include an alternate email or contact number where you can be reached. 

Once the update is completed you will start using the new user name/email address to log into your San Jacinto College accounts.  

Incorrect name changes

If your name is displayed correctly in SOS & My SanJac Portal but displaying incorrectly on another San Jacinto College controlled device, account, or website please click on the Request Service button. Request should include your G number and location of the incorrect information. Please include an alternate email or contact number where you can be reached.
