Using YuJa Media in a Blackboard Course (Students)

Summary

Using YuJa Media to create, publish and attach videos in a Blackboard Course.

Body

Yuja Media is the primary video platform used at San Jac.

There are 3 parts to Yuja Media:

  • You can use the YuJa Media Library to Record, Upload and Store videos. You can use the Browser Capture software built in to the web site to record a video.
  • You can also download the YuJa Capture software to your computer to record videos.  (You must log in to Blackboard and access the YuJa Media Library before you can upload videos created with YuJa Capture.)
  • You will use the YuJa Media Chooser to add those videos to an item inside of Blackboard such as an assignment or discussion board post.

You can access the YuJa Media Library a few different ways.

  • Select Tools from the Blackboard Base Navigation menu, then select the YuJa tile.
  • Your Instructor may place a link within your Course Content area.
  • Within an Blackboard Ultra Course  you can click the link on the left panel under Books & Tools.  You may need to click "Browse All Course Tools" if you do not see it on the quick access list.  Locate and click the YuJa tile.  (All San Jac Blackboard Courses will be in Ultra Course View beginning May 13th, 2024.)
