San Jacinto College students must retrieve their account to access the College systems and services. The Account Claim Process involves new students setting security questions, creating a password, and retrieving their student Username. Folllow the steps below to claim your account.

Instructions

1. Click Claim Account to begin.

2. For Step 1, enter your First Name, Last Name, Home Zip Code, and Birth Date (format: YYYY-MM-DD).

3. Open and read the Computer Usage Policy, then check the agreement box. Click Next.

4. For Step 2, enter and verify a new password (must be 12-16 characters, including at least 1 number, 1 special character, 1 uppercase letter, and 1 lowercase letter). Click Next.

5. A Password Change Complete message will appear. Please note your Username for future use.

6. Answer the Pre-Defined Questions (each response must be at least three characters).

7. Create and answer a User Defined Question.

8. (Optional) You can add more security questions by clicking Add Optional User Defined Question.

9. Click Next to finish.

10. A confirmation message will appear. You may now close your browser or click the provided links.

Congratulations, your account has successfully been claimed! You can log in to apply for scholarships at https://sjcd.academicworks.com. Once you are notified by San Jacinto College Admissions that you have been accepted, verify your SOS login at www.sanjac.edu/soslogin using your Username and the password you created.

 

Troubleshooting Tips
  • The account claim process is a one-time action. If you are a former student or prior applicant your account may have already been claimed in the past.
     
  • If you are a new student and the claim process fails, please check your ApplyTexas.org application details and verify you are using the correct Name, Date of Birth, and Zip Code. If you notice that a correction needs to be made, please contact/visit the Admissions Office before reaching out to Technical Support
     
  • The claim process is for students only, it does not apply to employees.
