Setting Up Voicemail to Email

Employees can have their voicemail messages sent directly to their email. This feature allows you to see the caller’s telephone number/extension, the date and time of the call, and the length of the voicemail message. Additionally, employees can listen to the message from their computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Setting Up Voicemail to Email

1. Navigate to https://voicemail/ on your browser.

• Note: You may get a message that the connection is not private; this is normal as the site is internal and does not have a security certificate. If you get this message, allow the browser to load the site. Additionally, if you are off-campus, please ensure you have the VPN turned on to access this site.

2. On the Voicemail site, select Web Access.

3. On the next screen, select the UC Sign In option.

• When prompted for your username and password, use your extension for the username and your password. If you have not set up the password, the initial password is password.

4. Once signed in, select the Message Forwarding option under the Messaging section.

5. On the Message Forwarding page, select the option to Add new forwarding address.

6. On the next pop-up window, select send to specified destination and then type in your email address. After this is entered, text should be added with SMTP at the front of the address automatically. Additionally, please ensure the following settings are applied:

• Forward Type: Relay
• Message Type: Voice
• Voice Format: MPEG-1 Audio Layer (MP3)
• Fax Format: PDF
• include attachment(s) is selected

7. Once you have completed the settings, the voicemails you receive should now be forwarded to your email from the phone system.
